Roles/Responsibilities:

 

Key Responsibilities

• The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for driving the development and implementation phases in the development life cycle of the brand booking engine, websites, mobile application and other projects aimed at achieving business objectives and enhancing our digital guest experience.
• Full Stack Engineer is additionally directly responsible for maintenance and operational support and ensuring availability and uptime of the systems responsible.
• Work with the Technology leadership to implement technical solutions, enforce coding standards, perform code reviews and mentor teams during every development phase.
• Responsible for the delivery of a work product in line with specifications agreed with the business leadership.
• Responsible for coordinating and performing Unit and System testing of the work product along with the technology team members.
• Work closely with Marketing Technology leadership and property IT leadership to define and deliver the technology roadmap for the Digital Marketing and eCommerce systems.
• Responsible for evaluating the latest technologies and standards to drive continuous improvements within the eCommerce systems to make them truly world class with a focus on improving our guest experience.
• Own and drive the execution of any new projects and business requested improvements from a technical standpoint.
• Will be jointly responsible with the Technology leadership to participate and present technology solutions to the business leadership.
• Will be independently responsible for all release and deployment activities related to eCommerce systems.

• Develop and own coding best practices
• Create and manage technology roadmaps

• Responsible for execution and implementation of technology based activities based on approved capital and operational budgets

 

• Leadership

• Responsible for mentoring technology team members who are responsible for development and maintenance of various eCommerce systems used in Digital Marketing function.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
• Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years of age
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is essential
• 10+ years of technology experience required with at least 5 years of recent experience as a full stack engineer.
• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in online business/ecommerce/similar high availability transactional systems.
• Mastery across common artifacts used in common software development lifecycles. For example, UML, Entity Relationship, Flow charts, System diagrams and network diagrams
• Mastery with a set of programming and scripting languages, understanding the requirements, strengths and weaknesses of each
• Well versed in enterprise IT operational issues such as clustering, cloud-based solutions, multi-threading, stateless/stateful services and 24/7 operations
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Ability to define multiple solution options to business problems
• Deep understanding of database design and technology including tuning, normalization, warehousing, data mining, and reporting
• Thoroughly versed in web technologies including web services, AJAX, web page generation and scripting
• Hands-on experience leveraging Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) paradigms including infrastructure service options, messaging styles, and canonical design
• Conversant with networking technologies and approaches such as routers, firewalls, load balancers, IPS/IDS, VPNs, sub-nets and DMZs
• Experienced with multiple open source and COTS solutions
• Experience integrating ERP and other systems of record (e.g., SAP) with Enterprise Content Management Systems (e.g., Adobe AEM)
• Proven ability to work independently; designing, developing and deploying solutions, and to deliver projects on time and on budget with minimal direction
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills

 

Required Technology experience

• At least 6+ years of development experience on the Adobe Experience Manager / CQ5 product platform
• Recent development experience with AEM 6.2
• Expert in HTML5, CSS and Front end web technologies, including various JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Experience with Angular and Node.js
• Demonstrable experience developing responsive web applications and REST based services
• Expert knowledge in OSGi, Sling, and AEM API, Sightly, WebServices
• Expert knowledge in Jenkins and Maven
• Expert knowledge in Git and TFS version control systems
• Expert in Grunt and Gulp frameworks
• SOA based development is mandatory.
• Familiarity with cloud based hosting (IaaS) with EC2, Azure etc is a plus.
• Should have hands on experience with Linux and Windows Scripting (Bash and Powershell)
• Demonstrable expertise with Java / J2EE/ MQ services/JSON
• Familiarity with Drupal, Joomla or other Content management systems.
• Familiarity with PHP/Perl/Ruby
• Development experience in scalable systems using Java modularity – bundles, services, life cycle, modules, runtime and security.
• Design data store schemas – file, index, relational.
• Accurately evaluate technical level of effort and scope of requirements.
• Be a proactive leader vested in sharing knowledge and training those around you.
• Familiarity with .NET/Microsoft technology stack.
• Should be having hands on experience with SQL Server or Oracle

Familiarity with MongoDB and MySQL would be a plus.
