Big Data Engineer

Philadelphia, PA

6+ months contract

- 2 to 4 years of Big Data Enterprise Applications development experience in building scalable, high performance applications

- Strong experience in Spark (Spark SQL, Spark Streaming)

- Expert in Scala, Java and SQL language

- Experience with distributed computing platforms, such as Hadoop, and associated technologies such as MapReduce, Yarn, and Hive

- Experience working within enterprise data warehouse environments platforms (Teradata etc.)

- Experience with Cloudera and Horton Works distributions

- Strong programming and development experience (including broad experience across languages and projects) needed. Involves doing a lot of hands-on coding

- Able to work with minimal supervision
