Title: WebSphere Server Administration

Location: Portland, OR

Position: 6+ months

Interview: Phone/Face to Face/Skype

 

Description:

·         WebSphere application server admin Level 2 & 3 expertise

·         WebSphere Portal admin Level 1

·         Comfortable in working on both Unix , Linux and Windows Environment

 

Primary Skills:-

·         Experienced in Setting up of Nodes, JDBC, Data Sources, MQ Connections, Virtual Hosts, including planning installation and configuration of Web Sphere Application Server

·         Experience of Work Load Management (WLM) using clustering techniques including Horizontal and Vertical Clustering for failover and backup/recovery processes

·         Experience of applying Fix Packs & Refresh Packs for Web Sphere application server using Update Installer in GUI and Silent Mode

·         Experience of migrating application servers to latest versions

·         Experience of SSL setup by creating the key database, signed CA certificates, self signed certs, raising CSR using IKEYMAN, keytool, openssl for both application server & webserver.

·         Experience of troubleshooting issues with tools like IBM Heap Analyzer, Thread Analyzer, Log Analyzer, CA APM, Tivoli Performance Viewer, as well as traces, logs, heap dumps and java core dump

·         Experience of Scripting using Jacl/Jython & Shell

·         Experience in installing & configuring IBM HTTP SERVER and plug-in in both local and remote servers in GUI & silent mode

·         Candidates should be experienced in version 6 , 7 and 8.5

·         Candidate should also able to install , configure and troubleshoot  WebSphere Portal Server.

 

Preferred:-

·         Candidates with WebSphere Portal Server knowledge will be preferred.

·         Candidates with JBOSS expertise will be preferred.

·         Candidates with strong ITSM and Documentation will be preferred
